One sourced map for the three things a road trip runs out of. 111 entries across six districts, each with its source and how far we could verify it. Updated 2026-09-27.
Short answer. CNG in Kumaon is a plains fuel: 19 sourced stations, all in Udham Singh Nagar and the Haldwani plain, and none in the hills, so fill up in Haldwani or Rudrapur. Public EV charging follows the same line: 64 listed points, with DC fast charging in Haldwani, Lalkuan, Rudrapur, Kashipur and Ramnagar, one intermittent 120 kW charger on the Rusi bypass at Nainital, and nothing operator-listed beyond that towards Almora, Kausani, Bageshwar or Pithoragarh. Public toilets are the thin layer: 9 confirmed open out of 26 sourced, several reported locked, so this section is a status log, not a directory.
An operator, oil company, government or municipal source lists it, or two independent named sources agree. 59 of 111 entries.
One named news or operator-adjacent source. Most toilet entries sit here because no Kumaon municipality publishes a toilet directory. 26 entries.
A directory listing or a single community submission only. Kept because it may help, shown grey so you know not to rely on it. 26 entries.
43 exact points from operators, 38 approximate (operator map pins, decoded plus codes, OpenStreetMap landmarks), 29 drawn as a ring on the town centre because the site is not published. Google Maps data is not used.

Send the location and a photo on WhatsApp. We add it with your report as the source and mark it verified once a second source confirms it.
No station is sourced anywhere in the hills. CNG in Kumaon is a plains product: Indian Oil-Adani Gas in Udham Singh Nagar (Rudrapur, Kashipur, Kichha, Jaspur, Bazpur, Khatima) and HPCL in the Haldwani plain and on the Ramnagar road. PNGRB counts one commissioned station for the whole five-district hill licence area and its location is not published. Fill up in Haldwani or Rudrapur before climbing.
On the Delhi-Moradabad-Rampur road the last CNG in Uttar Pradesh is at Bhot on NH-9. Inside Uttarakhand you get Rudrapur, then Haldwani: Prime Service Centre on Rampur Road and Shaheed Chandan Filling Station on Bareilly Road. Nothing is sourced beyond Haldwani towards Kathgodam, Bhimtal or Nainital.
One operator-listed DC fast charger exists at the edge of town: Statiq at Apni Rasoi dhaba on the Rusi bypass, 120 kW with two CCS2 guns, 24 hours. It showed unavailable when we checked but had a recorded session two days earlier, so treat it as intermittent and arrive with reserve. The reliable fast chargers are in Haldwani (Fortune Walkway Mall, BPCL pumps) and Lalkuan.
Not one that any operator lists. After Fortune Walkway Mall on the Haldwani-Kathgodam stretch there is no operator-listed charger at Bhimtal, Bhowali, Kainchi Dham, Almora, Ranikhet, Kausani, Binsar or Bageshwar. Almora, Bageshwar and Champawat districts have no sourced public charger of any kind.
Because we list only what a named source confirms. No municipal body in Kumaon publishes a toilet directory, so most entries come from Hindi press reports, which tend to cover toilets that are new, locked or broken. That makes this a status log rather than a directory. If you know a public toilet that is missing, send us the location and we will add it with your report as the source.
Verified means an operator, oil company, government or municipal source lists it, or two independent named sources agree. Reported means one named news or operator-adjacent source. Unverified means only a directory listing or a single community submission, kept because it may help you but not something we vouch for.
A pin is drawn only where the source published coordinates or a landmark we could place on OpenStreetMap. A dashed ring means we know the town but not the site, and the ring sits on the town centre. Distances shown after Near me are straight-line, not road distance.
No. Coordinates come from operator listings (Statiq, HPCL, IOAGPL, ChargeZone), from plus codes in published addresses, or from OpenStreetMap. Directions links open your own maps app at the coordinates we hold.
